Beat 102-103 is the most listened-to radio station among the 15-34 age group in Carlow, Kilkenny, Waterford, Wexford, and South Tipperary, to radio station among the 15-34 age group in Carlow, Kilkenny, Waterford, Wexford and South Tipperary with 158,000 people tuning in every week. 

 

 With the addition of Beat 102-103, Bauer Media Audio Ireland has now extended its total weekly reach in Ireland to 2.24 million listeners. 

The Role 

 

Beat is seeking a Solutions Manager for Maternity Leave. This role is for a 12 month contract.  

 

In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing the Beat Solutions department. The Solutions Manager will report to the CEO and Head of Commercial Programming. 

 

What you’ll do: 

  • Execution of General show competitions from start to finish e.g weeklong, weekend, one off.  This includes mechanics, scheduling inventory and managing prizes. 
  • Write on air and online social copy, managing & editing digital platforms along with analysing insights. 
  • Execution of Major Station promotions and station events.  
  • Oversee and manage the company’s overall digital strategy & output.  
  • Oversee and manage all Beat Fleet activity –recruitment, training, booking, invoicing and managing the seasonal team.  
  • Outside Broadcasts – liaise with technical and sales on booking of same, ensuring all run smoothly and clients’ expectations are exceeded.  
  • Manage all sponsorship and promotions of nontraditional revenue events.  
  • Curate and schedule commercial & non-commercial social media campaigns.  
  • Chair weekly content and creative meetings.  
  • Liaise with Media Central and Head of Commercial Programming for Bauer Media Audio Ireland for national campaigns.  
  • Manage all aspects of Promotional activity including budgeting of the activity.  
  • Quarterly Planning of yearlong promotional & marketing activity with Group Head of Marketing. 
  • Ensure merchandise stock is up to date - source and update promotions material for the Beat brand. 
  • Manage the use of the two branded vehicles & OB unit, The Beast. 
  • Monitor and report on engagement metrics, continually showing the business value of creating engaging content. 
  • Prepare all proposals and implement the agreed brief regarding prizes and recorded proof of transmission. 
  • Attend sales meetings sporadically to update on solutions offerings. 
  • Liaise with Programme Director and Head of Station Sound to agree on-air concepts and ensure presenters are fully briefed.

  • Will relish being an ambassador, representing the Beat brand as required & lead the Solutions team to be the best it can be for Beat.

  • Possess a good working knowledge and experience of social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, X, Bluesky Tik Tok,  You Tube, LinkedIn & podcasting tools. 
  • Shine at administration tasks. 
  • Be proficient in WordPress, MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. 
  • Understand the Irish radio and media industry & its industry standard research, JNLR.
