Campaign & Communication Executive

Are you a creative communicator with a flair for words, impeccable attention to detail and an organisational ninja when it comes to juggling multiple projects? Cash for Kids is looking for a talented Campaign & Communications Executive to help deliver exciting national charity campaigns across the UK.

Working with some of the biggest brands in radio - including Absolute Radio, Magic Radio, Greatest Hits Radio and Planet Rock - you’ll play a key role in telling powerful stories, inspiring supporters, delivering high-profile campaigns and raising vital funds for disadvantaged children. If you’re a skilled copywriter, are social media-savvy, love a project plan and are ready to bring fresh ideas to life, we want to hear from you.

The focus of the role:

Working across Bauer Media’s Cash for Kids children’s charity, the Campaign & Communications Executive will help plan, coordinate and deliver charity campaigns across our national radio brands plus selected Bauer Media magazine titles.

The role will encompass crafting engaging written content for a variety of platforms - including charity email communications (regular newsletters and one-off promotional pieces), social media, supporter communications and campaign materials - as well as supporting campaign planning and delivery. The person we’re looking for will be a strong and adaptable copywriter, confident in writing for different audiences and platforms, and capable of telling compelling stories that inspire readers to support the charity.

Social media experience across all platforms is essential, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating high-quality, engaging content. Basic graphic design skills are desirable, as is experience with CRM and email marketing tools (specifically, but not limited to, Raiser’s Edge NXT).

Supporting the delivery of our pillar campaigns (Cash for Kids Day and Mission Christmas) requires this person to have exceptional organisational skills and an inherent ability to prioritise and plan, whilst ensuring exceptional attention to detail is maintained. Strong communication skills are vital, as this role will be constantly liaising with teams across the entire Bauer Media Group UK business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and coordination of Cash for Kids charity campaigns across national radio brands and other media.
  • Write clear, engaging and persuasive copy for charity email newsletters, website, social media content, campaign materials, supporter communications and other media.
  • Manage and publish content for the charity’s national social media accounts and websites, ensuring brand consistency and tone of voice.
  • Collaborate with the Digital Communications & Brand Manager and the Group Campaign Manager, plus campaign leads, presenters and production teams to ensure campaign activity is delivered on time, on budget and to a high standard.
  • Provide input into campaign ideas, messaging and creative execution.
  • Support the creation of basic graphics for online and social media where needed.
  • Assist in building and sending email campaigns, including content creation, layout and basic audience segmentation / list creation.
  • Contribute to post-campaign reporting, tracking engagement, reach and impact across the charity website, social media and email.
  • Collect and collate audio, photo and video content after each campaign and assist in the management of a content archive and delivery of testimonials for future campaigns.

What you'll bring:

  • Proven copywriting skills with the ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences and platforms.
  • Experience of managing and creating content for social media channels.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects to deadlines.
  • A positive, proactive and collaborative attitude.

Desirable

  • Basic graphic design skills (e.g. creating social media artwork, simple campaign graphics).
  • Experience using email marketing platforms (e.g. Mailchimp, Campaign Monitor).
  • Experience working for a charity or community organisation.
  • Experience using Raiser’s Edge NXT or other CRM systems.
  • An understanding of charity communications and fundraising campaigns.

Location, hours and working conditions

  • Home-based, with communication conducted via phone, email and video calls (Microsoft Teams).
  • Open to candidates based anywhere in the UK, with occasional travel for meetings as required.
  • Full time - 37.5 hours per week (9am-5:30pm, Monday to Friday, with one hour for lunch).
