Director of Content - Hits Brand Radio Network (Nations)
We are looking for a Director of Content for Nations to join our team in Scotland.
Your role will be to lead and deliver the, creative direction, content strategy and day-to-day programming across Scotland and Northern Ireland, driving exceptional audio and multi-platform content that fuels audience growth, brand love, and commercial success.

Key Responsibilities:
- Set and deliver the creative direction and content strategy for the Hits Radio Network in Scotland and Northern Ireland delivering output that enriches the everyday lives of listeners in the nations whilst supporting wider UK initiatives such as Rayo, Cash for Kids and Consumer Competitions.
- Lead and inspire talented teams of presenters, producers, and content creators across Clyde 1, Forth 1, Cool FM, and their network stations.
- Oversee talent recruitment, development, and performance — ensuring our stations remain home to the best national talent.
- Support growth across all platforms, including live radio, digital streams, podcasts, and social video.
- Monitor audience engagement - track audience listening data, surveys, and social media to assess the effectiveness of the strategy.
- Ensure high-quality, Ofcom-compliant content that reflects Bauer values and resonates with target audiences.
- Collaborate across departments to integrate commercial opportunities within the content offering.
- Act as the editorial lead for the nations — a key ambassador internally and externally for the brands.

- A proven leader with a track record of delivering audience growth in competitive markets.
- Deep understanding of the audio landscape, particularly youth and mass-market formats.
- Strong editorial instincts, creative vision, and a flair for storytelling that cuts through.
- Confident managing budgets, schedules, and people — from presenters to producers.
- Digitally fluent and future-focused, with a passion for growing audio brands across platforms.
- Collaborative, energetic, and inspiring, leading teams of producers, talent, and other content creators, providing guidance, support, and motivation. — someone who leads from the front and brings people with them.
