Senior Corporate Fundraiser

 

We are looking for a Senior Corporate Fundraiser to join the Cash for Kids team in Glasgow.

 

In this key role, you will lead our dynamic fundraising strategy, focusing on building relationships with corporate supporters, trusts, foundations, and major to mid-level donors. As the spearhead of our corporate fundraising efforts, you'll craft compelling proposals and outreach strategies that significantly boost our funding.

 

Your responsibilities will include creating well-aligned, persuasive cases for support, ensuring our projects are impactful, measurable, and transparent - qualities our funders highly value. You'll also innovate and shape our fundraising methods, creating sustainable impact through strategic partnerships.

 

Additionally, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining relationships through attending and supporting key fundraising events, thus enhancing our network and advancing our mission.

 

This role suits someone passionate about effecting real change through strategic relationship management and innovative fundraising in a collaborative setting.

 

Our Team

 

We are a small team of 8 covering Glasgow & the West of Scotland. Cash for Kids is the umbrella charity of Bauer Media covering the TSA`s of Radio Clyde, West FM (Ayrshire) and GHR Dumfries & Galloway. We raise funds to support the 1 in 4 children in our local communities who are affected by poverty. 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Supporting the Charity Manager with project management and stewardship of all existing corporate partners, which includes providing support with corporate events and creating CFK volunteering opportunities .
  • Resourcing and nurturing potential new corporate supporters.
  • Inspiring and motivating supporters, providing creativity and resources as appropriate to maximise fundraising.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with long term corporate supporters.
  • Helping partners develop their fundraising plans, provide ideas, support and resources to ensure they have all the help they need to make their events a success.
  • Working with the wider team to develop proposals for corporate Charity of the Year partnerships and develop new business including drafting and attend pitches when appropriate.
  • Researching new corporate partners and corporate trusts to approach for support.
  • Helping recruit sponsors for events and managing relationships, ensuring expectations are met.
  • Attending networking events in the local business community virtually and in person and engaging networks using LinkedIn.
  • Supporting any communication requirements for existing or new corporate partnerships – e.g., preparing/delivering presentations, updating the website etc.

 

What we’re looking for

 

  • Demonstrable experience in developing positive relationships with corporate partners
  • Experience of researching and developing targeted proposals for presentation to prospective corporate partners
  • Experience of developing a sale/corporate strategy to meet targets
  • Excellent attention to detail and accurate record keeping
  • A flexible approach to work, with the ability to manage completing deadlines and priorities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to liaise with people at all levels, on the telephone, face to face and in writing, and confident making presentations to diverse audiences
  • Ability to adapt communication methods to suit differing audiences
  • Ability to monitor and evaluate patterns of support and match appropriate project proposals
  • Experience of working within agreed budget constraints, ensuring that expenditure is maintained within budgets, and that income is closely monitored
  • Full UK driving licence and use of vehicle
