As part of our team, you’ll be working alongside the Social Media Lead and Senior Social Media Producer to deliver creative and exciting video content for our iconic radio brands in Scotland from Clyde 1, Forth 1 and beyond. Creating content for our award-winning shows such as Bowie @ Breakfast, Boogie in the Morning, Superscoreboard and many more, you’ll be a key component within the Social Video team, working alongside incredible radio producers to make engaging and authentic content that resonates with our unique audience. The Difference You Will Make:
The Video Editor role is an exciting opportunity to create video content for our Instagram, TikTok and YouTube channels. We’re looking for an editing powerhouse with the ability to assist on social video shoots to round out our team. You will manage a high volume of edits with quick turnaround while still maintaining top tier video quality for maximum impact across our platforms. Live editing on site at the biggest events across the country is also required as is assisting on hero content shoots.
This role requires both creativity and flexibility. Day to day you’ll be editing content from our studio location, but there will also be times when you’ll be editing on location from a media tent at some of the biggest festivals in Scotland! The aim will be to expand our brand reach and highlight the best bits of our stations and shows.
The ideal candidate is a dedicated and experienced video editor first and foremost, preferably with a background creating video content within a similar production environment. It would be advantageous to have demonstrable experience with camera, lighting and audio equipment for assisting on content shoots. An understanding of social media platforms and media management systems is also preferred.
Your Role:
Responsibilities include but aren’t limited to:
- Editing short and long form social content, often with a quick turnaround
- Following best practice and house style whilst delivering content to deadline
- Managing own post-production schedule
- Communicating effectively with wider Social Video Team
- Designing thumbnails
- Uploading and managing content on Frame.io
- Posting content on social platforms
- Assisting on content shoots
- Assisting with technical capture of audio and visuals in studio
The Skills You Will Bring:
- Mid weight level video editing experience
- Editing proficiency with full Adobe suite (Premiere Pro essential)
- Understanding of Photoshop and After Effects is advantageous
- A keen interest in staying up to date with new editing and filming techniques
- Working knowledge of camera, lighting and audio equipment
- Understanding of digital content and social media
- Attention to detail and commitment to high quality output
- A team player, comfortable collaborating as well as working independently
- Creative and sometimes out-the-box thinker
Working Pattern / Location:
This role is based at our office in Glasgow, with travel nationwide when required for various shoots. This is a full-time role and reports to the Social Media Lead (Scotland).
