Chief Financial Officer Digital Publishing (f/m/d)

As Chief Financial Officer Digital (f/m/d) you will be part of the Publishing Leadership Team and be mainly responsible for scaling our Digital Publishing business as a key Finance Business Partner. You will be responsible for the optimal short, medium and long-term financial health of the Digital business, driving organic growth and contributing to strategic M&A activities. 

The position is located in our headquarter in Hamburg. 

Your responsibilities 

• Lead, enable, motivate and develop the Digital Publishing Finance team from across BMG markets 
• Co-lead business and organisational decisions together with the rest of the Publishing Digital Leadership Team 
• Driving sustainable organic business growth and financial performance, leveraging insights and analytics to constructively challenge the business 
• Identifying and pursuing organic and M&A growth opportunities together with the M&A team and Investment Committee 
• Contributing to the development of a new business and tech platform using prior experience to identify essential requirements 
• Developing effective tax, legal, accounting and business governance models in cooperation with finance and business colleagues 

Your profile 

• Strong academic credentials paired with the ability to operate as a leader in a changeable or ambiguous environment 
• You would describe yourself as a natural collaborator and brilliant communicator with profund experience in driving growth in Digital Businesses 
• Sound knowledge and a proven track record of professional experience in the areas of finance and accounting, controlling and financial relations 
• Several years of business experience in an international environment and management function  
• Deep Commercial acumen combined with methodical use of Data to drive Performance and decision making.  
• Experience in driving Digital business growth and Business Partnering Commercial teams 
• Business fluent in written and spoken German and English
