About the role  

We’re looking for a FinOps Specialist to join our global tech team. You’ll play a key role in shaping and managing our cloud financial operations across AWS, Azure, and GCP, while partnering closely with two large international business areas and core group functions like Finance and Tech. 

This is a great opportunity to build scalable processes, drive cloud cost optimisation, and help shape a FinOps culture within a dynamic, international organisation. 

Location: Hybrid – Germany based. Occasional travels to Hamburg office.  

Key Responsibilities 

Cloud Financial Management & Governance 

• Design and manage a group-wide FinOps framework 
• Monitor and optimise cloud spend across AWS, Azure & GCP 
• Implement cost-saving strategies and usage policies 
• Build financial models to forecast and track cloud costs 

Stakeholder & Business Partnership 

• Work closely with Finance, Tech, and HR stakeholders across countries 
• Build relationships with two major business areas using cloud 
• Translate between technical and business needs to ensure financial transparency 

Reporting & Insights 

• Develop dashboards and reports to visualise cloud usage 
• Analyse usage trends and offer actionable cost optimisation insights 
• Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders 

Governance & Best Practices 

• Foster cross-functional collaboration to adopt FinOps best practices 
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures 
• Stay on top of industry trends and regulatory changes 

Your profile  

• Degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, or similar field 
• Relevant certifications in AWS, Azure, or GCP (a big plus) 
• Proven experience in cloud cost management in a large, complex organisation 
• Strong technical knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) 
• Demonstrated track record of optimising spend and cloud resources 
• Experience working cross-functionally with Finance and IT stakeholders 
• Analytical mindset, strong communication skills, and financial reporting experience 
• Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
