Strategic Communications Manager

This newly created role within the Publishing Communications team works with the Strategic Communications Lead to develop a wide range of internal communications to the highest professional standards. 
This is a full-time hybrid position based in London or Peterborough or Hamburg, offering the flexibility to work both from home and from our office as needed.

What you will do

  • Lead and manage communications projects and campaigns end-to-end – from planning through execution to evaluation
  • Take full ownership of cross-country company updates and live events – plan topics, source speakers, and deliver an engaging monthly report for all Publishing colleagues
  • Drive compelling communication throughout Publishing’s transformation programmes
  • Plan, write, and edit high-quality content across multiple internal channels
  • Collaborate closely with country communication teams to ensure message alignment and channel coordination
  • Support the measurement and evaluation of communication activities to demonstrate Return on Communications (RoC)

 
What you will bring

  • Extensive experience in global internal communications within international organisations and a strong expertise in change and transformation communications
  • Up-to-date knowledge of good practice in internal communications including tools, channels, message development, and Analytics
  • Keen interest in digital communication trends, social media, and especially how AI is shaping the future of communication
  • Good understanding of the media industry or the ability to quickly get up to speed
  • Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with global Teams
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in fluent English
  • Project management qualifications are a strong plus
