Temporary Warehouse Coordinator (Various UK Locations)

We are looking for Temporary Warehouse Coordinators this festive season, to join our Mission Christmas Teams in various locations across the UK during November and December 2024.

Our Team

Cash for Kids is the charity of Bauer Media in the UK. Our mission is to improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in our communities who are affected by poverty, illness, neglect or have additional needs. We believe that all children should be able to express their individuality, achieve their potential and live life to the full.  We work with grassroots organisations that aim to make a difference to young lives, directly supporting families who often have nowhere else to go.

Our Mission

Mission Christmas is the largest Christmas gift appeal in the UK. We aim to ensure every child wakes up to a present on Christmas morning, however, for many children their family circumstances mean this may not be the case.

Families living in poverty face the daily dilemma of whether to buy clothes for their children, to heat the house or to put food on the table. Christmas is a luxury they simply can’t afford. Rising costs have tipped many more families into financial hardship, and Christmas 2024 will see an even greater need for help from Mission Christmas.

What you’ll be doing

  • A demanding role where you’ll be co-ordinating the smooth operation of our Mission Christmas HQ. This is where all donated gifts are received, sorted and then prepared for collection by local partner organisations, who will ensure they reach the children most at risk in time for Christmas Day.
  • Managing a team of volunteers.
  • Managing drivers who will be collecting donated gifts from key locations across the area.
  • Liaising with our Mission Christmas drop-off points and our Mission Christmas partner organisations, ie social services/children’s services, refuges, schools and other organisations.
  • Communicating with individuals, community groups, schools and businesses who are fundraising or donating to our Mission Christmas campaign.
  • Helping the team to move large bags of toys/gifts and stack shelves

What You’ll Bring

  • We’re looking for someone who shares our passion for wanting to make sure all children have that magical Christmas moment of opening a present. You’ll be organised, flexible, enthusiastic, be able to work in a fast paced environment and most of all LOVE CHRISTMAS!
  • A basic knowledge of the use of Office applications is essential.

The locations we are looking in are

  • Northern Ireland
  • Tayside/Fife
  • Washington, Co Durham
  • Leeds
  • Birmingham
  • Cornwall

When making your application, you will be asked to confirm your preferred location.
