Art Editor, Grazia
The focus of your role:
Grazia is Britain’s go-to glossy magazine for luxury fashion, agenda-setting features and A-list access, with a new issue every two weeks. This is an exciting opportunity to join a creative team with ambitious plans. Assisting the Creative Director to create all visual content of the magazine, in print, online and across social media.
Main Responsibilities:
- To work closely with the Creative Director and team to maintain and develop the visual style and identity of GRAZIA across print, web, app, video, email and social media.
- To develop and present design ideas to help entertain and engage the readers and audience of GRAZIA, seeing them through from conception to final iteration.
- To create arresting, dynamic visual assets for social media, both static and motion.
- To work to tight deadlines, which can be hourly, daily, weekly, fortnightly, to time manage effectively and understand processes which aid workflow.
- To liaise closely with editors, picture editors, the production team and social media editors of the brand
- To follow pre-press and production processes
- To display a brilliant eye for detail and understanding of excellent design practice
- To aid in the development of newsletters, apps, and other digital initiatives
What you will bring:
- Experience at a similar level within a title or brand
- Expert use of InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and advanced knowledge of all Creative Suite programs including After Effects and Premiere Pro
- An exceptional eye for detail
- An understanding design across various platforms, eg, online, Instagram, print
- Shoot experience including still life concepts and portraiture
- Strong flair for design which works across all platforms
- An interest in news, celebrity, features, fashion and beauty
