Audio Account Manager

 

We are looking for an Audio Account Manager to join our Advertising team in London.

 

You will have equal responsibility for driving display and creative partnership revenues. You will work closely with the Audio Group Head, Group Client Leads and Creative Strategists aligned to the hub to ensure that the Customer Strategies and Creative Process are implemented effectively.

You will be focused on Essencemediacom and EMX, and sit within the GroupM hub team. At Bauer Media Advertising our positioning is ‘Together We Create Impact’.  Every part of the commercial team is focused on creating impact for our customers by leveraging our brands and platforms to deliver against their objectives.  

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Deliver market beating share of airtime and creative revenues by fully understanding agency motivations, priorities, and client planning cycles.
  • Through a focused proactive agenda informed by the Customer Strategies, develop new business and retain existing business across display and creative. Drive brand count across the agency territory and improve our conversion rate of creative pitches.
  • Evangelise audio, Bauer’s proposition and position our brands and audiences through engagement pieces within the hub agencies and with key clients, brand update presentations, inspiration sessions, education sessions and immersions in collaboration with Audio Group Head and Commercial Director.
  • Ensure Bauer brands are regularly presented and clearly understood with all new developments communicated to AV Investment and Partnership teams.
  • Ensure full interrogation and understanding of partnership briefs to successfully inform our response.  Gather insight from agency to deliver best in class creative solutions.  In collaboration with the Creative Strategy team build compelling pitch presentations offering custom partnership solutions to agencies and clients.

 

What we’re looking for

 

Knowledge:

 

  • Experience of working with network media agencies at Account Manager/Director to mid-level with contacts predominantly in partnership, and AV investment teams.
  • Evangelical about the medium: Genuine knowledge of and passion for audio, our brands, and the ability to sell a portfolio of stations. 
  • Solid understanding of the broader media marketplace (particularly broadcast and digital)
  • Experience of creating, pitching, and landing sponsorship and partnership deals.
  • Understanding of agency trading deals and trading mechanics.

  • A strong consultative sales approach with the ability to interrogate a brief and to draw insights to inform our approach.
  • A true team-player, collaborative with a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
  • A curiosity to learn and develop knowledge and skills.
  • The ability to engage and influence customers leveraging our collateral to inspire, educate and influence customer’s behaviour.
  • An enthusiastic networker who can develop new, valuable relationships and leverage them to drive revenue.
  • Able to develop business proactively; inspiring agencies with proactive ideas and giving compelling arguments to upweight their commitment to Bauer.
  • The ability to navigate a matrix structure collaborating with team members across the business to develop best in class pitches and land business.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a passion for driving revenue and results for customers.
