Content Creator (Life & Style)
We’re looking for a new talent to join our team, creating style and lifestyle content across our brand portfolio. This is an entry level role, perfect for someone who has a passion for writing and styling and is keen to work for a major publishing company. We’re a busy content team who provide a wide-ranging array of features across a number of well-loved titles, across areas including fashion, beauty, travel and wellness. We’re looking for someone who really has their finger on the pulse of popular culture, who knows their Love Island from Loose Women and who is he first to find out about the next viral beauty trend or must-try fitness hack.
Key Responsibilities:
- To work across print and digital to create relevant content which is appropriate for our varied readership across each brand. This involves coming armed with loads of original ideas and a passion for writing, attention to detail and great organisational skills.
- To deliver planned content that can be used across multiple brands, on time and to the correct quality standards.
- To assist prepping fashion and beauty shoots and maintaining the style cupboard, including arranging returns.
- To horizon scan for trends and ideas and review relevant competitors, bringing new ideas and a fresh perspective to the Content Editors.
- To attend launches and liaise with PRs in the industry to represent the brands.
What you'll bring:
- The ability to plan and prioritise your work to meet deadlines in a busy environment.
- Creative thinking and the ability to operate across numerous brands.
- The potential to become a multi-channel journalist - able to create content for any platform where appropriate (print, digital, video, app, membership services in future) – Training will be provided.
- An eye for imagery and design.
- Loads of enthusiasm and meticulous organization.
- Professionalism – whether dealing with other departments or external contacts.
- Adaptability to be able to turn your hand to working across different publishing systems and varied markets in this changing media landscape.
