Reports to:  Head of Data Engineering and Architecture 

 

As an Analytics Engineer at Bauer Media Audio, you will play a crucial role in shaping and delivering data products that meet the needs of stakeholders within our organization across our Competitions, CRM, Ad, and Finance data domains. You will be responsible for ensuring that these products adhere to agreed standards and leverage cutting-edge technology. Your expertise will help coordinate and enforce best practices, enabling stakeholders to perform self-service analytics and reporting efficiently. In this position you will be closely collaborating with product managers, and the data engineering team. Core Responsibilities

  • Tooling and Technologies:
    • Utilize strong SQL skills (Postgres, Cloud SQL) for data manipulation and analysis.
    • Overall fluency in Python: ability to read, create, debug and package code, being comfortable using either Jupyter, Pycharm, Visual Studio or any other IDE
    • Data wrangling with Python (pandas, numpy, etc.), hands on experience with data visualisation using charting tools like Matplotlib, Seaborn etc.
    • Proficiency in Data Cleansing, Data Transformation and Data Modelling 
    • Confidently work with APIs and coding/scripting pipelines to transform data into analysis-friendly assets using technologies like BigQuery or Amazon Redshift.
  • Data Analysis and Insights:
    • Conduct thorough data analysis to support decision-making across Competitions, CRM, Ad, and Finance domains.
    • Develop and present actionable insights to stakeholders, enhancing their understanding and use of data.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst, preferably within the media or audio industry.
  • Strong technical skills in SQL (Postgres, Cloud SQL) and Python.
  • Experience with Data Cleansing, Data Transformation and Data Modelling 
  • Proficiency in working with APIs and coding/scripting pipelines using technologies like BigQuery or Amazon Redshift.
  • Expert in SQL (Postgres, Cloud SQL).
  • Proficient in Python for data processing
  • Skilled in data analysis and data modelling
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a flexible attitude to managing projects and engaging with senior stakeholders.

 

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with BI Platforms like Looker or Power BI.
  • Knowledge of web analytics technologies such as Google Analytics (GA4 or UA360) / Firebase.
  • Experience with cloud databases like Redshift and/or BigQuery
  • Familiarity with ad tech support, ad partners, metrics, revenue pipelines, and 1st party data imports.
  • Experience with GAM, SSP/DSPs, and DMPs.
