Junior Video Producer

Fancy working at one of the most exciting radio stations in the UK with the likes of Sam Thompson, Fleur East and more?

Hits Radio are looking for a Junior Video Producer to join the social media team in London!

Working closely with the Digital Editor, Video Producer and Social Producer you will be creating content that drives engagement on our digital platforms, encourages listening, and helps grow the audience of our station. Hits Radio is aimed at the thirty-something, (almost) grown-up audience, so creating content that resonates with this audience is key. As the Junior Video Producer, you'll support day-to-day video production across our platforms and contribute to larger station projects.

You will be a Junior Video Producer with previous filming experience who knows their way around a set. If you're a confident editor proficient in Adobe Premiere, brimming with passion for video, and tuned in to the latest social media trends, then you're exactly who we're looking for.

Based in our brand-new London office, with opportunities to work on location on shoots too, you’ll have a passion for, and good knowledge of, video production and understand its potential to entertain and grow an audience on socials.

Role Responsibility

  • Capture video in studio and on location.
  • Edit short form (TikTok, Reels, YouTube shorts) and long form (YouTube) video content using the Adobe suite.
  • Set up lighting and monitor audio when required.
  • Deliver accurate, on-brand, current, and audience-appealing content.
  • Manage video uploads across various digital platforms.
  • Collaborate with the broader video team to maintain a consistent style for all video content.
  • Look after video equipment, ensuring it is up to date, and report any faults promptly.

You will work as part of the Hits Radio social team to create compelling edits, thumbnails that pop, and social content that drives engagement and followers. Managing sometimes-heavy workloads under pressure, you'll effectively prioritise, plan, and oversee multiple tasks simultaneously. You'll assist our social team in ensuring video content is produced and delivered on time and to a high editorial standard. Additionally, you'll demonstrate a keen awareness of online trends, emerging cultures, and conversations, coupled with a genuine passion for music, popular culture, and media.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Proven solid video production experience.
  • Significant experience working with the Adobe suite. Proficiency in Premiere Pro is essential.
  • Working knowledge of social platforms and the ability to tailor video content accordingly.
  • Good knowledge of camera, lighting, and audio equipment.
  • Proactive, committed, and quick-thinking, able to work calmly under pressure.
  • Comfortable working with high profile talent.
  • An entrepreneurial ‘can-do’ attitude with a commitment to continuous learning and best practices.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks effectively and deliver quality results.
  • Clear understanding of social media, competitor output and consumer behaviour.
  • Sound editorial judgement with a passion for storytelling.
  • Confident and considerate on set, with strong teamwork skills.
  • Experience uploading and managing social video content, with a focus on Instagram and TikTok.
  • Awareness of media law and Ofcom compliance, as well as Health and Safety requirements on shoots.
