You’ll be joining the vibrant and ambitious Hits Radio team, whose mission is to become the UK’s biggest pop station. We’re a passionate group of content creators, producers, and presenters who thrive on delivering relatable, entertaining, authentic, and live radio experiences.
You’ll work closely with high-profile presenters like Fleur East, Will Best, Gemma Atkinson, and Sam Thompson, as well as our entertainment, social, and enterprise teams. Together, we create unforgettable moments—from chart-topping shows to major live events like Hits Radio Live and the world’s biggest radio competitions.
The difference you will make
As Producer for Hits Radio Evenings, you’ll be the driving force behind our evening output (Sunday–Thursday), ensuring every show is an engaging event for our audience. You’ll work directly with presenters to shape content that’s bold, topical, and aligned with our brand filter of R.E.A.L.
You’ll also oversee the planning and technical execution of live and pre-recorded shows, ensuring seamless delivery and high operational standards. This is a hands-on role where your creativity, leadership, and technical expertise will help elevate our evening programming and deepen audience engagement.
Your role
You’ll lead the production of evening shows, ensuring they’re compelling, well-executed, and aligned with station strategy.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with presenters to deliver engaging, brand-aligned content
- Drive fame, relatability, and topicality across evening shows
- Maximise audience engagement through creative programming
- Work with entertainment and social teams to amplify content
- Manage pre-recorded programmes and ensure faultless transmission
- Brief presenters on commercial and editorial content
- Resolve live technical issues with Operations Producers
- Coordinate studio bookings and logistics for pre-recorded shows
- Ensure compliance with Ofcom Broadcasting Code
- Support contesting operations with Bauer’s enterprise team
The skills you will bring:
Essential:
- Strong understanding of the Hits Radio brand, music, and audience
- Expertise in radio play-out, scheduling, and studio software
- Proven ability to create compelling content for target audiences
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with high-profile talent
- Strong planning, communication, and presentation skills
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and audio editing tools
Desirable:
