Senior Research Executive
About the Role:
This role sits within the Consumer Insights Team which forms part of Bauer Media Audio’s Digital Advisory. You will report to the Director of Consumer Insight.
As a Senior Research Executive, you will be pivotal in helping to shape Bauer’s digital audio services in 9 markets . Our digital products represent some of Europe’s biggest radio brands and podcasts. Using a range of methodologies and datasets, you will produce audience insight that will ensure the continuous enhancement of our digital experience on all platforms.
You will play a critical role in driving strategic decision-making through actionable data and consumer understanding. By leveraging both qualitative and quantitative research methods, your insight will guide marketing strategies, content and product development, as well as customer engagement initiatives.
You will be responsible for analysing consumer behaviour, identifying trends, and generating insights to better inform key stakeholders. Your role will involve collaborating with various teams, including marketing, product, content and distribution to ensure insights are translated into clear recommendations that drive the delivery of strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake quantitative and qualitative research projects and to be solely or jointly responsible for these projects. This includes scoping requirements, project management, analysis, and communication of insights.
- Design and undertake research that will help understand consumer’s media habits to support the development of Bauer Audio’s products and services.
- Use consumer research tools such as eTelmar, Qualtrics and Midas to better understand consumer behaviour and perceptions.
- Work with the Consumer Insights analysts to marry internal data sets, tell a story and bring the data to life.
- Lead and manage the Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) program across markets, including designing surveys, analyzing feedback, and driving actionable insights to improve customer experience and satisfaction.
- Use data and insight creatively to highlight consumer issues or opportunities informing content, product and marketing decisions.
- Investigate the impact of new tech or services on consumer audio behaviour
- Support senior colleagues on all aspects of research and insight including ad hoc tasks and research projects.
- Produce monthly performance reports and communicate to a range of stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For:
- A background within media and an understanding of the importance of metrics and consumer trends within this space
- Well versed in using consumer consumer research tools such as eTelmar, Qualtrics and Midas
- Proven ability to build and maintain effective collaborative relationships with a wide range of colleagues (e.g. marketing, content, product), senior stakeholders, and external suppliers.
- Excellent skills in communicating complex data and insights to stakeholders with varying levels of data understanding in creative and engaging ways
- Experience running both qual and quant research projects and knowledge of different techniques
- An appetite for getting stuck into the detail and taking individual responsibility for ensuring tasks happen
- Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously, with the adaptability to adjust to shifting priorities in a fast-paced news environment
