Senior Social Media Producer

Fancy working at one of the most exciting radio stations in the UK, alongside talents like Sam Thompson, Fleur East, and more? Hits Radio is looking for a Senior Social Media Producer to join the team in London!

This is a fantastic opportunity to create social media content for one of the UK’s most vibrant radio brands. Hits Radio targets a thirty-something, almost grown-up audience, so creating content that resonates with them is key.

Reporting to the Social Media Lead, you’ll play a central role in shaping and executing our digital content strategy. You’ll plan, produce, and curate content that amplifies the reach of our shows, builds meaningful audience engagement, and keeps us ahead of social media trends. Working closely with talent, programming, marketing, music, and commercial teams, you’ll be part of a highly collaborative environment, helping us create standout moments across platforms.

This is a hands-on production role where you’ll be generating ideas, filming, editing, and publishing content yourself. We’re looking for someone who thrives on creative thinking, takes ownership of projects, and is confident working with high-profile talent. You’ll need strong initiative, a passion for storytelling, and the ability to turn great ideas into shareable, scroll-stopping content that reflects the personality and energy of the brand.

This is a hybrid role that supports a balance of working from home and our office in London.

What you'll be doing

  • Working closely with the social producer to develop and produce engaging social media content, including video, photos, graphics, and written posts.
  • Collaborating with the producers of our radio shows to generate creative ideas and content that captures the unique energy and personality of each show, working closely with talent and guests.
  • Supporting the Social Lead in day-to-day planning and wider projects.
  • Ensuring all content aligns with Hits Radio brand guidelines and maintains a consistent voice and style.
  • Monitoring and analysing social media trends, audience behaviours, and platform updates to keep Hits Radio’s social media presence current and effective.
  • Engaging with Hits Radio’s audience across all social media platforms, responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and professional manner.
  • Managing Hits Radio’s social media content calendars, ensuring timely and consistent posting.
  • Mentoring and guiding junior team members, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Working out of hours, when necessary, particularly during key events or live broadcasts, to capture and share timely content.

What You’ll Bring

  • An understanding of the digital landscape, particularly the creation of engaging, optimised content for various platforms, with a strong focus on Instagram and TikTok.
  • Ability to shoot and film content on mobile, direct talent, and brief guests effectively.
  • Experience in presenting ideas and approaching challenges with a positive attitude.
  • Proficient in using Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and apps like CapCut.
  • Ability to design social thumbnails and graphics using Adobe Photoshop.
  • Confident social copywriter who can write in the Hits Radio tone of voice.
  • Experience working with analytics tools to track performance and inform content decisions.
  • A passion for pop culture, social trends, and the biggest hits and throwbacks that define Hits Radio’s sound.

Closing Date for Applications: Friday 14th February 2025
