Social Media Producer - Absolute
We are looking for a Social Media Producer to work mainly on our Absolute Radio brand but also work with our Planet Rock Network.

As our next Social Media Producer, you will be planning and creating digital content for Absolute Radio and Planet Rock, working with our presenters, artists, and big-name guests to bring the brands to life for our audience of “reluctant adults”.
This is a hands-on production role, we’re looking for someone who can come up with a concept and turn it around themselves. You should be confident and show initiative in bringing fresh thoughts to the table, and be able to build working relationships with both our presenters and the wider Absolute Radio team.

Reporting to the Social Media Lead, and working with the Senior Social Producer, you will be working collaboratively together on our social media strategy.

This is a hybrid role, 2-3 days a week in our London office, with an expectation that you will be able to work with shows or events out of normal office hours.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and produce engaging social media content including social videos, graphics, photos and written posts tailored to Absolute Radio’s audience.
- Monitor and analyse social media trends, audience behaviours, and platform updates to keep Absolute Radio’s social media presence current and effective.
- Engage with Absolute Radio’s audience across all social media platforms, responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and professional manner, in the Absolute Radio tone of voice.
- Work from Absolute Radio’s social media content calendars, ensuring timely and consistent posting.
- Assist the Head of Social and Senior Social Producer in day-to-day planning and wider projects.
- Ensure all content aligns with Absolute Radio brand guidelines and maintains a consistent voice and style.
- Work out of hours at Absolute Radio events, live posting on our social media platforms and creating content on the go, when required.
What you will bring
You *must* have an in-depth understanding of Absolute Radio’s and Planet Rock music output, and know your High Flying Birds from your Eagles, and your Stone Roses from your Queens of the Stone Age, But also:-
- Social Media experience at a professional level with an excellent understanding of the digital landscape, particularly the creation of engaging, optimised content for various platforms, with a strong focus on Instagram and TikTok.
- Comfortable shooting and filming content on mobile, as well as confident in directing and briefing presenters, guests, and other team members where necessary.
- Confident in presenting ideas and approaching challenges with a positive attitude.
- Excellent knowledge of all social media platforms and experience in planning and scheduling content across them.
- Proficient in using Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and apps like CapCut.
- Ability to design social thumbnails and graphics using Adobe Photoshop.
- Confident social copywriter who can write in the brands tone of voice
