Writer (Grazia)
The focus of your role:
Pitching and writing smart, original features for Grazia across print and digital, covering a wide-range of topics, from relationships and careers, to politics and social trends. This is a junior role, and an exciting opportunity for a features writer looking to join a fun, fast-paced environment.
What you’ll do:
- Working with the Features Director, generate and pitch a steady stream of clever, thoughtful, timely ideas for the main Features section in the magazine and the Features slots in the 10 Hot news section.
- Constantly be on the look out for story opportunities, be that upcoming book releases, new buzzwords, or key awareness months - and stay tapped into the talking points and people that matter to our readers.
- You will also work across digital, pitching daily ideas in response to trending search that will drive traffic, in addition to zeitgeisty takes that will drive engagement on Grazia’s Instagram Grid. You will contribute ideas for Grazia’s successful Apple News channel, too.
- You will write for print, weekly Apple News stories, and daily digital/ social stories.
- You will conduct thorough research, speak to experts and find and interview case studies to bring your features to life.
What you’ll bring:
- A wealth of ideas and enthusiasm for Grazia features - and a genuine and deep interest in the topics we cover.
- The ability to write clean copy in the Grazia tone, often to tight deadlines.
- The organisation to juggle multiple deadlines for different platforms.
- Adaptability and the ability to respond to shifting priorities and breaking news.
Closing Date: Wednesday 5th November
