Managing Editor - National & Regions

As Managing Editor – National & Regions, you will lead the strategic, editorial and creative direction of Today FM and Ireland’s youth stations (SPIN 1038, SPIN South West , Beat, iRadio).    

You will be responsible for delivering compelling, innovative, and audience-focused content across all platforms, ensuring each brand maintains its unique identity while contributing to a cohesive strategy at Bauer.

What you will do:

• Lead the Manging Editors across Today FM and the Youth Stations (SPIN 1038, SPIN South West , Beat, iRadio) to deliver dynamic, high-quality content across platforms.  
• Design and implement content strategies to grow audience across Today FM and the Bauer youth services through distinctive content offerings that are complementary and maximise audience reach  
• Lead and inspire content teams to deliver high-quality, engaging, and innovative content across all platforms    
• Champion talent development, identifying and nurturing emerging voices while supporting established presenters.  
• Ensure each station’s content reflects its brand identity while aligning with the broader business strategy  
• Collaborate with commercial and marketing teams to deliver impactful, content-led partnerships and promotions.  
• Monitor audience data and industry trends to inform programming decisions and maintain competitive advantage   
• Ensure compliance with all editorial, legal, and regulatory standards.  
• Represent the brands internally and externally, building strong relationships with stakeholders and partners.  
• Collaborate closely with internal functional leads, Finance, Digital, Marketing, Commercial etc to ensure strong relationships are developed and maintained for the advancement of all brands.  
• The role involves some travel within Ireland  

What you will have:

• Proven experience leading editorial teams in a multi-brand or national audio environment  
• Demonstrable experience delivering a wide content offering; music formats with more   
• A track record of delivering audience growth and commercial success.  
• Understanding of market dynamics and audience behaviours.  
• Strong editorial judgment and creative vision.   
• Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.  
• Deep understanding of youth and adult contemporary audiences.  
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.  
• Commercial awareness and experience working with cross-functional teams.  
• Passion for audio, digital innovation, and audience engagement.  
• Strong Work Ethic  
• Flexible and adaptable in approach to leadership and management  
• This role is a full-time permanent leadership role, with an expectation to be on-site in Dublin regularly and regular travel to regional locations.
