Planner/Co-ordinator
About the Role
Are you looking to kickstart your career in media? This entry-level role could be the perfect fit. We’re looking for a proactive and organised Planner/Sales Coordinator to support our Manchester and Scotland Agency Sales Teams.
In this role, you’ll help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of both teams, working closely with Account Managers and the Agency Group Director to deliver quick, accurate responses to briefs and manage airtime campaigns. You’ll gain hands-on experience in media planning, client service, and campaign coordination — all while developing your skills in a fast-paced, supportive environment.
Location: Manchester, Hybrid (2 days in the office)
What you’ll be doing
- Support Account Managers and the Agency Group Director to deliver excellent client service
- Plan effective airtime campaigns using Bauer’s planning tools and station guidelines
- Respond quickly and efficiently to agency briefs
- Build relationships across internal teams and agency contacts
- Monitor campaign performance and contribute to post-campaign analysis
- Use research tools (e.g. RAJAR, TGI, Mintel) to strengthen sales proposals
- Develop knowledge of Bauer’s portfolio and the competitive media landscape
- Help achieve personal revenue goals and key performance indicators
- Be the go-to contact for campaign delivery and coordination
What you’ll bring
- A genuine interest in media and advertising
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Confidence and a professional telephone manner
- Good time management and attention to detail
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and think on your feet
- Basic proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and planning systems (training provided)
- A positive, self-motivated attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively across teams
- Numeracy and analytical thinking to support campaign planning
