AR Credit Controller
We are looking for a Credit Controller to join our Finance team in Peterborough.
You will be responsible for managing outstanding debts and ensuring payments are made in a timely manner. Performing Credit Risk assessments and supporting the Customer Master Data Governance.
You will be building and maintaining strong relationships with all our customers, internally and externally, ensuring all deadlines are met.
Our Team
You will be part of the Credit Control Team, who are responsible for the collection of all outstanding debt and sit within the Accounts Receivable Team.
The Accounts Receivable team is responsible for the governance of all new customers, co-ordination of all sales systems/CRM interfaces for monthly billing, delivery of invoices and statements to customers, cash collection, posting of cash to customers' accounts, aged debt, and bad debt reporting.
The team currently comprises of 1 Manager, 2 Team Leaders and 19 Team Members.
What you will do:
- Manage Aged Debt in accordance with defined collection strategy.
- Taking a proactive role in collection of outstanding invoices by telephone and email.
- Escalate late payers to Team Leader.
- Negotiate payment plans.
- Perform customer reconciliations.
- Maintain Customer Master Data Governance.
- Manage Prestop & Stop accounts.
- Investigate and arrange customer refunds.
- Manage queries to ensure resolution within agreed timescale.
- Manage regular meetings/conference calls with the business.
- Liaise with external debt recovery agent.
- Be commercially aware in the management of specific accounts.
What you will bring:
Essential
- Very good knowledge of Excel.
- Experience working in a Finance environment.
- Highly attentive to detail and diligent.
- Ability to manage and organise varied workload and deadlines.
- Proactive attitude with team oriented, collaborative working style
Desirable
- Previous Credit Control experience.
- AAT Qualification
- Experience with S/4 Hana
