Central Operations Assistant - Finance

Our Team:

 

Central Operations is a commercial support team for all the Publishing brands at Bauer, from Angling Times to Empire, Model Rail to Grazia. We are a team above all else, and we work towards a common goal of delivering the best customer service to our clients and colleagues.  Our aim is keeping any risk to advertising revenues across our print and digital platforms at a minimum through best practice and adaptive internal processes.

 

The Main Focus of the Role:

 

In this role you will be the link between the sales teams and various other support departments within the business. You will be responsible for ensuring all advertising is booked onto the sales system correctly and successfully collecting advertising prepayments, as well as ensuring the accuracy of the advertising revenue booked prior to invoicing.

Ensure that minimal revenue is lost through bad practice or errors and highlight issues to the Central Operations Manager.  Ensure that your work is efficiently processed in accordance with the Central Operations Finance team SLAs as well as being in line with company and advertising strategy.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Booking and confirming adverts
  • Chasing payments in line with deadlines
  • Maintaining hygiene of customer records on systems
  • Daily use of our systems including Adpoint, MDG, Microsoft Excel and other databases
  • Assisting with revenue at risk reporting & month end billing
  • Ensuring GDPR regulations are adhered to
  • Maintaining good business relationships with internal and external stakeholders
