Content Lead (Motorcycling)

Our Team:

The Motorcycling Content Hub serves our modern biking titles with top-notch road test, news, product news and used bike reviews. This role would see the successful candidate carrying out and writing/videoing road tests for (predominantly) MCN, motorcyclenews.com, BIKE and RiDE.

The focus of your role: 

Bauer Media’s Motorcycling Content Hub serves iconic brands such as MCN (including the website), Bike and Ride. As a road tester you will be expected to ride and write about bikes for these brands. You will also have the opportunity to provide entertaining and informative videos and social media posts. Being able to ride a motorcycle to a high level and then evaluate it using simple and yet engaging words and pictures is key to performing well in this role. You’ll work as art of an experienced, supportive and highly respected Motorcycling Content Hub team.

This role is a mixture of working from our Peterborough office when required each week, and the rest of the week working from home.

Main Responsibilities: 

• Idea creation, development and delivery of road tests for MCN, motorcyclenews.com, RiDE and BIKE.
• Riding bikes for First Tests and Main Tests across the three print titles and the writing of those tests (primary). Any commissioning or photographic briefing would also come under this role.
• Contribute to motorcyclenews.com, primarily in the area of road testing, although a broad approach would at times be required. This will include video content from selected tests.
• Building rapport with key industry figures to ensure we get the best bikes to test before anyone else.
