The Difference You’ll Make:
As our Key Account Manager, you’ll maximise advertising revenues from car manufacturers, car related products and service customers through their associated agencies.
With proven digital media sales success, you will ensure that Bauer Publishing are on plan for all agencies with OEM customers, deliver pro-active opportunities to relevant agencies and provide market leading brief responses to increase the number that Bauer win.
You will also become an automotive market expert, making you the agency’s ‘go to’ person to help keep them abreast of and understand the intricacies of the UK new car market. Also, through working with editorial and research, you’ll unlock new opportunities to pitch to agencies.
This role is a hybrid working model, so you'll be required to work 2 days in our Peterborough office, some working from home days and other days in London visiting agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve revenue and yield targets.
- Grow existing customer spends through new creative ideas and close collaboration with the OEM Relationship Director, editorial teams, and research teams.
- Generate new business from lapsed automotive advertisers and new entrants into the market.
- Collaborate with appropriate teams to develop market leading creative solutions for agencies and their customers.
- Have an in-depth understanding of the broader media marketplace with the ability to construct channel-based arguments to drive share.
- Contribute to planning and product meetings to present agency feedback and assist new product development.
- Customer centric, passionate about positively impacting your customer’s business and delivering market leading service.
- Develop close links with relevant commercial teams (partnerships, agency and brand teams) to always ensure open channels of communication and collaboration.
- Accurate personal forecasting of revenue for the designated category.
What you'll bring:
- Proven media sales success across a portfolio of, predominantly digital, products.
- Be able to talk fluently about the UK car market dynamics to support opportunities presented to agencies that convert into campaigns.
- Ability to build relationships with all levels within the agencies and communicate appropriately.
- Able to negotiate to get the best result for Bauer through understanding the most important elements for both agency and customer of the campaign and leveraging these.
- Understand and use data and insight to identify opportunities and build credibility with senior agency contacts.
- Demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team is crucial in answering briefs and delivering creative solutions.
- Build pro-active creative solutions that are driven by market insight.
- Ability to edit the choice of solutions to deliver the right mix to best deliver the requested campaign.
