Key Account Manager

The Focus of the Role:


This vital role will be working with customers within the UK motorcycling market; including manufacturers/product wholesalers/distributors/along with event organisers.The role will involve identifying customers’ marketing/ advertising needs and goals using a consultative approach to provide the right commercial solutions (across digital/ print/ and events) to match their marketing and business objectives, in line with market/title strategy.


In essence particular attention should be given within these main areas:

  • Customer Focus – consultative approach
  • Title, Market and Financial Management
  • Utilising brand assets


Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieving revenue and yield targets - supports other team members at every opportunity with this process
  • Accurate personal forecasting  - supports other team members at every opportunity with this process
  • Growing customer spend by managing existing customers and creating new opportunities
  • Drives own activity levels,  arranging and setting a key number of face-to-face client meetings based on customer numbers
  • Ownership of a set number of ‘Key’ accounts within your market - determined by spend and brand authority
  • Understanding market conditions and competitive forces
  • Understanding and delivering additional advertising solutions based on trends within the industry
  • Keeping accurate customer records using internal CRM system
  • Leading and contributing to sales/brand/market/editorial meetings
  • Is the face of the market being represented – is the key link between our key accounts and our editorial/marketing teams
  • Supporting brand specific Key Account  staff and telesales managers within Bauer Direct by sharing knowledge and key  insights into set market
  • Compliance with relevant data protection guidelines
