Marketing Data Analyst (B2B)

As a central connector across the organisation, it plays a vital part in the ongoing success and growth of the Fleet News, Automotive Management (AM) and RAIL brands.

 

The Difference You’ll Make:

 

As our Marketing Data Analyst, you’ll be working with the marketing team to support the delivery of effective campaigns through exceptional use of analysis, segmentation and reporting, in line with marketing strategies. These include magazines, digital offerings and events, with a specific focus on driving revenue, acquisition and retention of customer audiences.

You’ll manage tasks and projects to support the engagement of our audiences via targeted and integrated multichannel marketing. Provide analysis and insight into audience segments and drive the integrity of the B2B data, ensuring it is collated and maintained to be able to produce accurate reporting and segmentation.

You will support our relationships with third parties who provide services responsible for data management. Suppliers include CRM and Email Service Provider (HubSpot), website / CMS, event production and data enrichment agencies. Ensuring that data protection and governance follows GDPR / Data Protection compliance and retention rules.

 

Your Role:

 

MarTech Administrator:

  • Administer HubSpot CRM to support users, provide training and advise on CRM processes including segmentation, list and report building and Email Marketing best practice.
  • Monitoring CRM integrations and raising anomalies with stakeholders for resolve


Data Quality:

  • Responsible for Implementing and measuring processes in CRM to monitor engagement timeliness, data quality, completeness and uniqueness to align with B2B Data Strategies
  • Actively seek out resolutions where missing data, discrepancies and errors exist and use judgment on whether to resolve the issue independently or raise with CRM & Marketing Manager/suppliers
  • As a GDPR and Data Protection champion, you will support the CRM Marketing Manager and the B2B department in best practice and data processing aligned to Bauer and GDPR rules


Data Management:

  • Managing data cleansing, imports and list management, to drive data strategy in achieving completeness, uniqueness, consistency and accurate database values
  • Manage data retention policies set by Bauer and GDPR to ensure audience engagement / re-engagement programs restrict and reduce data churn
  • Importing and mapping data to align with HubSpot data architecture ensuring uniqueness and completeness of database is maximized
  • Support the management of memberships and subscription product databases, ensuring correct subscribers / members are maintained and sent to 3rd parties for processing


Data Analysis:

  • Respond to data requests from stakeholders, providing segmentation, analysis and insight on behaviours, demographics, and preferences
  • Analysing large sets of research data to identify trends, outliers and possible opportunities  
  • Identify known-unknown data trends and outliers to commercialize and support product development
  • Produce reports using data visualization tools and dashboards and present to business stakeholders and senior management on outcomes and performance


Stakeholder Management:

  • Attend regular meetings and work closely with the Editorial, Events and Commercial Teams to ensure we continually strive to maximize acquisition and retention opportunities across our brands and offerings
  • Lead Management: Process inbound marketing queries and leads, ensuring data is imported into CRM and processed, tracked and converted compliantly
  • Campaign Scheduling: Promote and drive the maintenance of the Marketing Campaign Calendar, ensuring successful scheduling of all email campaigns via staff and external agencies, to ensure audiences are sent the optimum number of emails and at the right time
  • Brand: As a brand ambassador, manage changes to CRM templates such as email templates, data capture forms, preference management, ensuring that staff remain compliant and on brand


Campaigns:

  • Supporting the marketing team to deliver campaign tactics; from segmentation of audience and reporting of campaign success metrics that deliver Objectives and Key Results (OKRs)
  • Attend selected B2B events, which will require some travel within the UK

 

What You’ll Bring:

 

  • Attention to detail, accuracy, analysis, and the ability to interrogate is your superpower
  • Proven experience of working within a data analyst position
  • Proficient and at ease with using HubSpot CRM and database management, and solid awareness of Email Service Provider
  • Microsoft Office understanding, especially Excel, with proven success using v-lookups and formulas
  • Previous experience of working with analytical tools/platforms and data visualization tools, e.g. Power BI, Google Analytics, Dashboards
  • Able to re-prioritise numerous workstreams, working at pace in a complex and fast changing environment
  • Comfortable collaborating and liaising with various stakeholders
  • Proficient understanding of GDPR legislation
  • Able to use your own initiative, working autonomously whilst collaborating and communicating exceptionally within a team
  • Ability to identify better ways of working, problem-solve and put forward pragmatic solutions in a diplomatic manner

 

Working Pattern/Location:

 

This role has a hybrid working model, meaning up to 2 days per week in the Peterborough office and the rest working from home.
