Sales Ledger Analyst
We’re looking for a Sales Ledger Clerk to join our Accounts Receivable team at Bauer Media UK, based in Peterborough.
If you’re process-driven, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering excellent customer service, this could be the role for you.
As a Sales Ledger Clerk, you’ll be responsible for processing receipts, invoices, credit notes, and refunds, while supporting both internal and external customer queries. You’ll play a key role in ensuring accuracy and efficiency across our sales ledger operations.
This is a remote role, with attendance at our Peterborough office once a month and as needed.
Our Team
The Sales Ledger team sits within the wider Accounts Receivable function and plays a vital role in managing incoming payments and customer accounts. We work closely with finance and sales teams across the business to ensure smooth and accurate financial operations.
What you will do
Process daily cash receipts using Excel
Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
Arrange customer refunds and handle related queries
Set up and process Direct Debits
Reconcile payments against statements using SAP Finance
Generate customer invoices and credit notes
Respond to internal and external customer queries, escalating disputes when needed
Support ad hoc duties and reporting within Accounts Receivable
Contribute to process improvement initiatives
What you will bring
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to manage a varied workload and meet deadlines
A proactive, self-motivated attitude
Team-oriented mindset and adaptability
Confidence using Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Teams)
Experience with SAP is a plus
It’d be great if you also have
Previous experience in Accounts Receivable
A calm and assertive approach to handling queries
Analytical thinking and a drive for continuous improvement
