Senior Editorial Assistant
The focus of the role:
To ensure the smooth operational running of the MCN/Motorcycling Monthlies admin function, and support Editors and wider team on all operational organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensures the smooth-running of the Motorcycling division on all organisational matters.
- Helps with travel, diary management and general admin across the division.
- Assist Editors with scheduling of meetings, correspondence and liaising with outside contacts, where appropriate.
- Oversees costs. Collate finance information on a weekly basis and advise Editors/Hub Lead/Group Editor of underspends or overspends.
- Completes Product Spend Report on a monthly basis and keep record of costs by department. Keep a record of all commissioned work – as supplied by department heads.
- Regular catch-ups with Dept heads and Editors needed to monitor progress and costs (reserves/commissions etc).
- Liaise and work with other departments of MCN and other bike titles, where appropriate and in agreement with the Editors/Group Editor.
- Petty cash maintained and processed in line with Bauer policy.
