About the Role

 

Beat 102-103 is the leading regional radio station for young adults in the South East. As a Daytime Presenter, you’ll be the voice that keeps our audience company through their workday—bringing energy, entertainment, and connection to listeners across Waterford, Wexford, Carlow, Kilkenny, and South Tipperary. This is a full-time, fixed-term contract for one year duration. 

 

What You'll Do:

  • Host a live daytime show with a mix of music, chat, listener interaction, and regional content. 
  • Deliver engaging links that reflect the lifestyle and interests of Beat’s 15–34-year-old audience. 
  • Prep and research topics and discussion points that are relevant to the audience. 
  • React to breaking news, entertainment stories, and trending topics in real-time. 
  • Collaborate with producers and the digital team to create multi-platform content. 
  • Represent Beat at events, promotions, and client activations. 
  • Maintain a strong social media presence that complements your on-air personality. 
  • Ensure all content complies with BAI guidelines and station policies.

  • You have experience in presenting, but now want a career in broadcasting.

  • You have excellent communication and presenting skills.  
  • You are confidence and calmness under pressure to deal with whatever comes your way.

  • You are passionate about creating high-quality innovative content. 
  • You love news, music and entertainment.
