Mission Christmas HQ Co-ordinator
This holiday season we are looking for a Mission Christmas HQ Co-ordinator to join us based in LOCATION for Mission Christmas during the months of November and December.
The Mission Christmas HQ Co-ordinator has a vital and demanding role to play in making our mission a reality. These are temporary roles where you really will be playing Santa!
Our Team
Cash for Kids is the charity of Bauer Media in the UK. Our mission is to improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in our communities who are affected by poverty, illness, neglect or have additional needs. We believe that all children should be able to express their individuality, achieve their potential and live life to the full. We work with grassroots organisations that aim to make a difference to young lives, directly supporting families who often have nowhere else to go.
Our Mission
Mission Christmas is the largest Christmas gift appeal in the UK. Our aim is to ensure every child wakes up to a present on Christmas morning, however for many children their family circumstances mean this may not be the case.
Families living in poverty face the daily dilemma of whether to buy clothes for their children, to heat the house or to put food on the table. Christmas is a luxury they simply can’t afford. Rising costs have tipped many more families into financial hardship, and Christmas 2026 will see an even greater need for help from Mission Christmas.
What you’ll be doing
-
Coordinate the smooth operation of our Mission Christmas HQ, where all donated gifts are received, sorted and then prepared for collection by local partner organisations.
-
Manage a team of volunteers.
-
Manage drivers who will be collecting donated gifts from key locations across the area.
-
Liaise with our Mission Christmas drop-off points.
-
Liaise with our Mission Christmas partner organisations (such as social services/children’s services teams, refuges, schools and other organisations who will ensure gifts reach children in time for Christmas morning).
-
Communicate with individuals, community groups, schools and businesses who are fundraising or donating to our Mission Christmas campaign.
-
Collect photos, audio and video content to bring Mission Christmas to life on our radio stations, social media and digital platforms.
-
Moving and lifting gifts.
What You’ll Bring
-
A basic knowledge of the use of Office applications is essential, and an understanding of the main social media platforms
-
Passion for wanting to make sure all children have that magical Christmas moment of opening a present. You’ll be organised, flexible, enthusiastic and most of all LOVE CHRISTMAS!
-
You’ll also need to hold a current, full clean UK driving licence and have your own transportation.
