Job Purpose: 
Bauer Media is seeking a Global Process Owner for SAP S/4HANA to join our Finance team. In this key role, you will support all Bauer entities and countries that have switched to S/4HANA in the area of finance (Record to Report). You will drive the standardization, improvement, and compliance of financial processes, while coordinating with end users, key users, the Centre of Expertise, and other key stakeholders.

 

About the Team:
The Accounting team is a collaborative group of professionals, led by the Head of Group Accounting. As a part of this team, you will work closely with a range of internal stakeholders, driving continuous improvement and process standardization across Bauer Media’s global operations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Post-SAP S/4HANA Implementation: Support the continued success of our SAP S/4HANA transformation across Europe, ensuring compliance and smooth operation in the area of Record to Report (R2R).
  • Golden Template: Take ownership of the global compliance and development of our ‘Golden Template’ for financial processes.
  • Global Point of Contact: Act as the central point of contact for all questions related to R2R, working closely with relevant interfaces and stakeholders across Bauer’s global entities.
  • Key User Support & Process Improvement: Engage with the global key user community to continuously improve end-to-end financial processes and contribute to the standardization of financial operations.
  • Guideline Management: Identify, maintain, and update local and global guidelines in close consultation with key users and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with best practices.

 

What we are looking for: 

 

Knowledge:

  • Educational Background: You have a degree in economics, ideally with a focus on business informatics and/or finance.
  • Professional Experience: Several years of experience in finance and/or IT. Experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP FI, and ideally SAP BOFC or S/4HANA Group Reporting is highly desirable.

Skills:

  • SAP Expertise: You have strong user knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, SAP FI, and are familiar with common MS Office programs.
  • Project Experience: Previous experience in implementing financial software, particularly within an SAP implementation project, either in-house or with an SAP consulting firm.
  • Analytical & Conceptual Skills: You bring strong analytical skills, with a proven ability to think conceptually and solve complex problems.
  • IT Affinity: A high affinity for IT systems, coupled with strong communication and assertiveness skills.
  • Language Proficiency: Business fluent in both English and German, written and spoken.
  • Team-Oriented: A true team player who fosters positive collaboration across different teams and stakeholders.
