IT Auditor (m/f/d)

Our Team: How we enrich everyday life

You’ll be joining a small but highly impactful Technology Audit team at the heart of Bauer Media Group. We’re a collaborative, close-knit function of nine people globally, working across the UK and Germany, and partnering with teams across Publishing, Audio and Outdoor.

This isn’t a traditional audit environment. We operate with a flat structure, minimal hierarchy, and a strong focus on efficiency and real impact. Everyone gets involved, works closely together, and contributes directly to delivering meaningful insight to the business.

We see ourselves as partners to the business, not just an assurance function. That means regular interaction with senior stakeholders, exposure to leaders across the organisation, and the opportunity to build relationships that truly shape how Bauer operates.

The Difference you will make

In this role, you’ll play a key part in strengthening Bauer’s technology and data risk environment. You’ll help ensure that our systems, processes, and controls are robust, efficient, and aligned to a rapidly evolving digital landscape.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you’ll have the autonomy to take ownership of audit delivery, bring fresh thinking, and influence how we approach technology risk. You won’t just follow a rigid audit plan — you’ll work flexibly across a wide range of topics, responding to where the biggest risks and opportunities are.

Your role

As an IT Auditor, you’ll deliver technology audit activities across the Group, working closely with stakeholders to assess risks, strengthen controls, and drive improvements.

  • Delivering end-to-end technology audit assignments
  • Assessing IT controls across all lines of business
  • Identifying risks and providing recommendations
  • Engaging with stakeholders
  • Supporting data-driven audit approaches

The Skills you will bring

  • Experience in IT audit and IT General Controls
  • Understanding of risks across change management, access, and disaster recovery
  • Cyber security and infrastructure knowledge is a plus
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement
  • Adaptable and proactive approach

Working Pattern / Location

Hybrid – 1 -2 days per week in the office (incl. Tuesday). Location: Hamburg. It is also expected that you will visit other Business Units around 4 - 5x per annum (EMEA Region).
