About the Role
We’re looking for a talented and reliable Freelance Imaging Producer to provide holiday cover for our audio/radio production team. The role involves creating high-quality station imaging, promos, sweepers and other branded audio assets that support the sound, identity and output of our brands. We’re after someone creative, dependable and easy to work with — someone who can quickly understand the sound of a brand, jump into an existing workflow and deliver slick, broadcast-ready audio.
This is a remote freelance opportunity, and we’re open to applications from candidates based in Ireland, the UK and further afield. You’ll be comfortable working independently, interpreting briefs quickly and delivering creative, polished and on-brand audio to tight deadlines.
This is an ad hoc holiday cover role, with work offered depending on team availability and production requirements. The successful candidate will need to be available during agreed cover periods and comfortable working to short turnaround times.
What You'll Do:
- Produce station imaging, promos, trails, sweepers, IDs and other branded audio content.
- Work from creative briefs and turn them into engaging audio that matches the station or brand tone.
- Edit, mix and master audio to a professional broadcast standard.
- Source and use music, sound design, effects and voiceover assets appropriately.
- Liaise with producers, presenters, content teams and brand leads where required.
- Manage workload efficiently during holiday cover periods, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Maintain consistency with existing station sound, branding and production guidelines.
- Make quick amends based on feedback from stakeholders.
- Ensure all produced content is technically suitable for broadcast and digital use.
What You'll Have:
- Previous experience producing radio/audio imaging, promos or branded audio content.
- Strong audio editing, mixing and sound design skills.
- Confident using industry-standard production software such as Pro Tools.
- Good understanding of radio station branding, tone of voice and audience targeting.
- Ability to work quickly and accurately under deadline pressure.
- Strong attention to detail, especially around levels, clarity, timing and compliance.
- Comfortable working independently and remotely if required.
- Good communication skills and ability to take direction constructively.
- Experience working with commercial radio brands.
- Access to own production setup and software.
- Experience directing or working with voiceover artists.
- Knowledge of broadcast compliance requirements.
- Ability to write or polish short-form promo copy.
Ready to Apply?
Applicants should provide:
- A short CV or summary of relevant experience.
- 2 minute audio demo, with examples of work.
- Details of availability.
- Day rate or freelance rate expectations.
- Confirmation of production software/equipment available.
The closing date for applications is 02 November 2026.
