You’ll be joining the team behind Hits Radio – on a mission to become the UK’s biggest pop station. We create content that connects with audiences in real time, delivering shows that are relatable, entertaining and authentic.


Working closely with the Director and Deputy Director of Content, presenters and a talented production team, you’ll help shape one of the most important shows in the schedule – Hits Radio Breakfast. You’ll also collaborate with social, video and wider brand teams to make sure our content reaches audiences wherever they are.

As Executive Producer for Hits Radio Breakfast, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering the content strategy for one of the network’s flagship shows.


You’ll lead from the front—driving audience growth, delivering standout content, and ensuring the show cuts through in a competitive national market. You’ll bring fresh ideas, strong leadership, and a deep understanding of what makes compelling, audience-first content.

Your role:

 

You will lead the planning, creation and delivery of Hits Radio Breakfast, ensuring the highest quality output every day.


Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):


•    Leading and managing a team of producers and presenters to deliver standout breakfast content
•    Developing and executing the show’s content strategy alongside senior leadership
•    Ensuring all output aligns with the Hits Radio brand and “REAL” values (Relatable, Entertaining, Authentic, Live)
•    Driving engaging, topical content that builds listener loyalty and grows audiences
•    Forward planning content to create impactful, ‘event-level’ moments on air
•    Overseeing guest booking strategy and building strong relationships with talent and agents
•    Coaching and developing presenters and producers to deliver their best work
•    Collaborating with social and video teams to extend content beyond radio
•    Managing operational elements such as local splits and competition execution
•    Ensuring all content complies with Ofcom regulations and broadcast standards 

 


The skills you will bring:


•    Proven experience producing at a senior level within a national or high-profile broadcast environment
•    Strong understanding of the Hits Radio brand, audience and competitive landscape
•    Demonstrable experience working with and coaching high-profile talent
•    Excellent content judgement and strong instincts for audience-first storytelling
•    Confident leadership style, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams
•    Strong planning, organisational and communication skills
•    Experience developing and delivering national content strategies
•    Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
•    Knowledge of broadcast regulations and Ofcom guidelines
•    Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work across multiple teams and functions 

 

Working Pattern / Location:


Full-time, London-based role (with flexibility in line with team requirements).
