You'll be joining the social media team for one of the UK's biggest and fastest-growing commercial radio networks. Greatest Hits Radio reaches more than 7 million listeners across the UK and is home to some of the country's most loved broadcasters, including Ken Bruce, Kate Thornton and Simon Mayo – and from September, Zoe Ball. Greatest Hits Radio creates content that celebrates the music, personalities and moments our audience loves.
Working alongside the Social Media Lead and Senior Social Media Producer, you'll be part of a collaborative and ambitious team that creates engaging content across social platforms. We work closely with colleagues across Programming, Social Video, Marketing, Digital and Commercial, constantly seeking new ways to grow audiences, build engagement and bring our brands to life online.

As Social Media Producer, you'll play an important role in helping Greatest Hits Radio connect with its audience of Gen Xtra listeners through engaging, social-first content. We create content that is entertaining, authentic, relatable, and built around the music and personalities our audiences love. You'll work directly with presenters, artists and high-profile guests, creating content that entertains existing audiences while attracting new followers across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and beyond. From developing ideas through to filming, editing and publishing, you'll help ensure Greatest Hits Radio remains relevant, engaging and connected to its audience wherever they consume content.
Your role:
As Social Media Producer, you'll be responsible for planning, creating and publishing engaging social content across Greatest Hits Radio's social channels, supporting day-to-day activity as well as wider brand projects.
- Developing and producing engaging social media content including social videos, graphics, photos and written posts tailored to Greatest Hits Radio’s audience.
- Monitoring and analysing social media trends, audience behaviours, and platform updates to keep Greatest Hits Radio’s social media presence current and effective.
- Engaging with Greatest Hits Radio’s audience across all social media platforms, responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and professional manner, in the Greatest Hits Radio tone of voice.
- Working from Greatest Hits Radio’s social media content calendars, ensuring timely and consistent posting.
- Assisting the Social Media Lead and Senior Social Media Producer in day-to-day planning and wider projects.
- Ensuring all content aligns with Greatest Hits Radio brand guidelines and maintains a consistent voice and style.
- Working out of hours at Greatest Hits Radio events, live posting on our social media platforms and creating content on the go, when required.
- Creating dynamic, social-first content with our presenting talent and guests (for example TikTok trends)
- While Greatest Hits Radio will be the focus of this role, there will also be some work across Jazz FM.
The skills you will bring:
- Social media experience at a professional level with an excellent understanding of the digital landscape, particularly the creation of engaging, optimised content for various platforms, with a strong focus on Instagram and TikTok.
- Comfortable shooting and filming content on mobile, as well as confident in directing and briefing presenters, guests, and other team members where necessary.
- Confident in presenting ideas and approaching challenges with a positive attitude.
- Proactivity and creative thinking, with the ability to quickly adapt to changing trends and audience needs.
- Excellent knowledge of all social media platforms (including Facebook, Instagram and TikTok) and experience in planning and scheduling content across them.
- Proficient in using Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Pro.
- Ability to design social thumbnails and graphics using Adobe Photoshop.
- Confident social copywriter who can write in the brands' tone of voice.
Working Pattern / Location:
This is a full-time hybrid role, with 2-3 days per week based in our London office. There is an expectation that you will be available to support shows, events and content opportunities outside of normal office hours when required.
