You’ll be joining the passionate and purpose-driven team behind Cash for Kids - the charity of Bauer Media Group. Working closely with our radio and publishing colleagues across the UK, we raise funds throughout the year to support children and young people facing poverty, illness, neglect, or additional needs.
Our Manchester team is collaborative, energetic, and deeply connected to the local community. You’ll work alongside supportive colleagues who genuinely care about making a difference, while also partnering with local businesses, schools, community groups, and listeners to bring fundraising campaigns and events to life. The Difference you will make
As Charity Fundraising Executive (12 Month FTC), you’ll play a key role in helping us raise vital funds and awareness across Greater Manchester and the surrounding areas. You’ll build meaningful relationships with local businesses and community partners, helping them connect with and support the incredible work of Cash for Kids.
A major part of your role will be project managing our flagship Mission Christmas campaign,one of the UK’s largest toy appeals, ensuring children who might otherwise go without receive gifts at Christmas. From organising fundraising events to developing partnerships and engaging supporters, your work will directly help improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in your local community.
Your Role
You’ll support the delivery of fundraising activity across Manchester, helping to grow income, strengthen local partnerships, and deliver impactful campaigns and events throughout the year. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Building and maintaining relationships with local businesses, schools, charities, and community groups
- Organising and delivering fundraising events and campaigns
- Supporting and project managing the annual Mission Christmas campaign
- Identifying new fundraising opportunities and partnerships
- Representing Cash for Kids at local events, meetings, and networking opportunities
- Working closely with Bauer Media radio brands to maximise campaign reach and engagement
- Supporting social media and promotional activity for campaigns and events
- Helping ensure fundraising activity is delivered on time and within budget
- Providing excellent supporter stewardship and donor communication
The Skills You Will Bring
We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic, organised, and passionate about making a difference. You’ll ideally have:
- Experience in fundraising, events, sales, partnerships, or community engagement
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
- A proactive and creative approach to problem-solving
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Confidence representing a charity or organisation externally
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and social media platforms
- A full UK driving licence would be beneficial
Working Pattern / Location
This is a Manchester-based role with a hybrid working pattern. The role will involve attending events and meetings across the local area, including occasional evening and weekend work.
