(Senior) Cyber Security Engineer

We are looking for a (Senior) Cyber Security Engineer to join our Cyber Defence Centre Team.

 

If you enjoy uncovering security insights, improving detection capabilities and collaborating with teams across Europe, this is the role for you.

 

You will enhance our detection and response capabilities, support incident handling and contribute to building a resilient security posture across Bauer.

 

Key Responsibilities

 


(Responsibilities include but are not limited to:)

• Develop and enhance our SIEM, EDR and attack surface management tools and detections.
• Design and automate incident response workflows using our SOAR platform.
• Conduct security assessments across cloud environments, endpoints and web applications.
• Analyse security data and transform insights into clear recommendations.
• Provide guidance to Tier 1 & 2 analysts during complex or high-impact incidents.
• Collaborate with vendors and managed service providers.
Contribute technical expertise during major incidents as part of the Cyber Incident Coordination Team.

 

What we are looking for

 

• Demonstrable experience in cyber security or IT operations.
• Hands-on knowledge in areas such as SIEM, SOAR, EDR, vulnerability scanning, AWS or Azure.
• Understanding of enterprise IT such as Windows/AD, Linux/macOS, networking, IAM, and containerisation.
• A thoughtful, analytical approach to solving time-sensitive security challenges.
• Ability to explain technical topics clearly to different audiences.
• Qualification in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Fluent English; German or Polish is a plus.
