Project Manager
Job Purpose
This role supports the Transformation & Finance Excellence team in the effective delivery of Finance transformation initiatives, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
As a member of the Transformation & Finance Excellence tribe, you will provide project management tools, reporting, coordination, and delivery support across the Finance department.
The role works closely with the Director Finance Transformation and Excellence, the team, and workstream leads across Finance.
About the Department & Team
The Transformation & Finance Excellence tribe is responsible for the overall Finance operating model, including strategic change and the use of best practices across processes, systems, organization, KPIs, services, and governance.
The team consists of approximately 7 employees, including the team lead, within Group Finance of around 300 employees.
Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities
Tribe Participation
- Be an active member of the Transformation & Finance Excellence tribe.
- Support the implementation of Finance best practices and contribute to the overall transformation delivery plan.
- Participate in tribe meetings and contribute to effective ways of working.
Portfolio Support
- Support the team lead in tracking the transformation roadmap, budget, KPIs, dependencies, risks, and issues.
- Support planning and tracking of internal and external resources.
- Coordinate regular status reporting for the Finance Leadership Team and key stakeholders.
- Coordinate transformation governance forums and project meetings.
- Support change management activities, including stakeholder impact assessments, adoption planning, and communication.
Project Support
- Promote a consistent project management approach across Finance transformation initiatives.
- Provide standard project management tools, templates, and guidance.
- Support initiative planning, including timelines, budgets, objectives, deliverables, resources, governance, and stakeholder engagement.
- Support business cases, budget and cost tracking, and post-project reviews, with ownership remaining with the team lead.
- Provide project delivery support and data analysis as required.
Job Requirements
Knowledge & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, IT, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience with project management principles and methodologies.
- Good understanding of Finance processes and business environments.
- Experience supporting change management and communications in transformation or project environments.
Skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Reliable, transparent, and performance-driven approach.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and resolve issues in a timely and pragmatic way.
- Excellent English skills, both written and spoken.
- Strong data analysis and reporting skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are an advantage.
- Experience with Monday.com or similar project management tools.
- Project management certification, or willingness to obtain one, is an advantage.
