About The Role 

Beat 102 103 is the market leading youth music and entertainment station in Ireland’s South East region covering the counties of Wexford, Waterford, Carlow, Kilkenny and South Tipperary. We are seeking a Social Media Executive to manage and grow our digital presence across all platforms. 

Reporting to the Head of Social Media, you will develop and execute a content strategy that enhances audience engagement and strengthens Beat Radio’s brand identity, always focusing on the fun side of life. You will create, distribute and analyse content for a highly engaged audience of almost 900,000.   

You will be a confident, music-loving team player who is highly enthusiastic about celebrating the communities that call the South East home.  Collaborating with commercial, marketing and programming teams to align digital initiatives with brand objectives, ensuring content reflects Beat’s unique tone and personality.

What You'll Do: 

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to drive audience growth, engagement, and brand visibility. 

  • Manage and monitor all @Beat social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube, ensuring high-quality content and community interaction. 

  • Create compelling, shareable content - including designing graphics, filming & editing videos that align with audience interests 

  • Plan, schedule, and distribute content using social media management tools while balancing original and user-generated content. 

  • Monitor analytics and performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations to optimize content strategies. 

  • Stay updated on social media trends, emerging platforms, and best practices, onboarding new channels when relevant. 

  • Collaborate with presenters, producers, and marketing teams to create new and repurpose on-air content for online platforms. 

  • Lead community management by engaging with the audience, responding to comments, messages, and interactions. 

  • Support paid social media advertising campaigns to maximize reach and engagement. 

  • Support and contribute to promotional events, contests, and commercial campaigns through strategic social media coverage. 

  • Oversee the content planning calendar, ensuring timely and reactive updates to align with trending topics and station programming. 

  • Track and report on social media KPIs, providing monthly insights and performance analysis.

What You'll Have: 

  • Strong background in social media management, content creation, and audience engagement 

  • Proven experience in filming, video editing, and graphic design (Adobe Suite: Photoshop & Premiere Pro) 

  • Knowledge of digital trends, audience behaviours and engagement strategies 

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment with attention to detail 

  • Excellent writing, communication, and creative thinking skills 

  • Deep understanding of Beat’s brand, tone and audience 

  • Experience executing targeted paid-social campaigns and live broadcasting on social platforms is a plus  

  • Proficiency in digital analytics tools (Google Analytics) and scheduling platforms (Sprout Social) is a plus  

  • Familiarity with Facebook Business Manager, X for Business, and TikTok for Business 

  • Strong organizational and planning abilities 

  • Knowledge of media copyright is desirable 

  • Knowledge of the Irish radio and entertainment industry is a plus
