About the Role 

Beat is looking for a speech presenter to host its weekly magazine show, The Sunday Grill. The show deals with the arts, Irish culture, entertainment, regional events and lifestyle issues and is aimed at a 15-34 year-old audience living and working in the South East region. The show also features occasional specials on environmental sustainability, media literacy and GEDI matters. 

Please note: This is a part-time role, fixed-term role.

What You'll Do: 

• Host a weekly show with a mix of conversation, interviews and regional content.
• Deliver engaging content that reflect the lifestyle and interests of Beat’s 15–34-year-old audience. 
• Prep and research topics and discussion points that are relevant to the audience. 
• Identify suitable guests and contact them for interview.
• Collaborate with producers and the digital team to create multi-platform content.
• Represent Beat at events, promotions, and client activations. 
• Maintain a strong social media presence that complements your on-air personality. 
• Ensure all content complies with BAI guidelines and station policies.

• Strong knowledge of the South East, its communities, culture and events. 
• A natural curiosity and an ability to turn ideas and conversations into compelling content. 
• Excellent communication and interviewing skills. 
• The ability to research topics, prepare thoroughly and work to deadlines. 
• A strong understanding of what matters to a 15–34-year-old audience. 
• Creativity and the confidence to bring fresh ideas, features and perspectives to the show. 
• A strong presence on social media and an understanding of how to create engaging digital content. 
• The ability to work collaboratively with producers, presenters and digital teams. 
• Confidence representing Beat at events, promotions and public-facing activities. 
• An understanding of broadcast standards, BAI guidelines and responsible content creation. 
• Previous presenting or broadcasting experience is desirable, but above all, we’re looking for personality, potential and a genuine passion for great radio.
