Senior Compliance Officer Poland – Publishing & Audio

 

The Senior Compliance Officer Poland provides comprehensive compliance and regulatory guidance to the Polish Publishing and Audio businesses. As the primary local compliance contact, you will help ensure that business activities comply with applicable Polish laws and regulations, Group Compliance policies, and high ethical standards

The role oversees the local implementation of Group Compliance standards and coordinates SpeakUp cases, compliance training, and awareness activities in Poland, working closely with Group Compliance and relevant local stakeholders.You will also contribute Polish market expertise to the development and implementation of group-wide compliance initiatives, policies, and projects.

 

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities

  • Compliance Advisory & Governance
  • Act as the primary compliance contact for the Polish Publishing & Audio businesses and the key point of contact for local Legal on compliance-related matters.
  • Provide practical guidance on day-to-day compliance and regulatory questions.
  • Support the effective implementation and application of Group Compliance policies, standards, and processes in Poland.
  • Advise the business on applicable local legal and regulatory requirements and their practical application.

 

SpeakUp & Investigations

  • Handle SpeakUp cases assigned by Group Compliance, including initial assessment, coordination of fact-finding, documentation, and follow-up of agreed actions.
  • Identify, assess, and escalate compliance risks, incidents, and control gaps.
  • Support the development and implementation of appropriate mitigation measures.

 

Compliance Training & Awareness

  • Design and deliver compliance training, communications, and awareness activities for relevant employee groups in Poland.
  • Help embed a strong compliance culture and understanding of Group standards across the local businesses.

 

Group Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

  • Work closely with Group Compliance and the Audio Compliance Manager, contributing Polish market expertise to group-wide compliance initiatives, policies, and projects.
  • Build effective relationships with key stakeholders across the Publishing and Audio businesses.
  • Collaborate with Legal, HR, Internal Audit, and other relevant functions as required.
  • Maintain accurate compliance documentation and reporting.

 

Job Requirements

 

Knowledge & Experience

  • University degree in Law or another relevant discipline, combined with substantial professional experience in compliance, investigations, risk management or related areas.
  • Several years of relevant professional experience in Compliance, Legal, Audit, Investigations, or Risk Management, ideally within an international organization.
  • Experience with whistleblowing / SpeakUp case handling, internal investigations, or sensitive employee-related matters is strongly preferred.

 

Skills & Competencies

  • High integrity, sound judgment, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and advisory skills.
  • Ability to translate compliance requirements into clear and practical business guidance.
  • Fluent Polish and English; German is an advantage.
  • Comfortable working in a matrix organization and collaborating across functions and locations.
  • Willingness to travel between Warsaw and Kraków as required and, where necessary, to other Group locations, particularly Hamburg and London.
  • Willingness to support Group Compliance topics beyond the local Polish scope.
